Biography


Dr. Miller is an assistant professor at the College of Nursing. Dr. Miller received her bachelor’s in nursing science degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2009 and worked as a registered nurse on a critical care unit. She then enrolled in the BSN to PhD program and completed her doctorate in 2016 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Miller was awarded the Sigma Theta Tau International, Gamma Pi Chapter-At-Large Research Award for her dissertation study of psychometric properties of obstructive sleep apnea screening measures in patients referred to a sleep clinic. Dr. Miller then completed a post-master’s certificate in the Adult-Gerontologic Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and specializes in the management of pulmonary and sleep disorders. She began working for the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing, as an assistant professor, in August of 2019.
