Biography
Katie Wertz is an Instructor who has been with the College of Nursing for over 15 years. Her professional background includes work in Progressive Care in a hospital in Lincoln. She also practiced as an NP for a few years until she decided to focus on teaching. She has taught in a variety of courses and programs. Most recently, she has worked with traditional and accelerated undergraduate students as a clinical instructor in critical care. She has also worked with the first semester students in the Health Assessment lab. She enjoys seeing the transition between the students just starting the program and those ready to graduate. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her two teenage kids, cooking and reading.
