Biography

Lisa Firestine has been an instructor at the UNMC College of Nursing (Omaha) since August 2016. She received her Bachelor of Nursing degree from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, MI) and her masters degree from Indiana University (Bloomington, IN). Her clinical background includes medical-surgical units, emergency room, intensive care unit, outpatient surgery, nursing home, and home health. In addition to bedside nursing, she has taught at the university level, both in the traditional classroom and online since 1994. She has focused solely on the online learning environment since 2008.
