Biography


Dr. Shade is an assistant professor in the College of Nursing. Dr. Shade received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She received her undergraduate and graduate nursing degrees from Nebraska Methodist College. She received her doctoral degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Shade was the UNMC 2014-2016 Jonas Nurse Leader Scholar. She has over ten years of clinical practice experience, primarily in care of the elderly. She is currently studying medication safety and self-management in community-dwelling older adults.
