My background started out obtaining my BA in biochemistry, molecular biology, and health systems at Hastings College. I then returned to school and completed the Accelerated RN course at UNMC-Kearney. After graduation, I began working acute care in pediatrics, PICU, PCU, and became stroke certified, taking various neurotrauma patients. I then decided I wanted to pursue a higher degree and graduated from UNMC with my Doctorate in Family Practice. Throughout my graduate degree, I worked in infusion as well as a graduate assistant for two years working with first year and accelerated nursing students. Post-graduation, I accepted a position as a clinical assistant professor.
