Biography

Meyokia (Nikki) Smith is a compassionate nurse who has been in nursing for nearly 18 years. Ms. Smith currently works with undergraduates pursuing their bachelor's in nursing. She enjoys working as a clinical nursing instructor facilitating learning to develop our future nurses. Ms. Smith was born in Missouri and moved to Omaha, Nebraska at age two. She is the mother of two adult sons; the youngest son in law school. She enjoys spending time with her godson who is eight months old and full of energy bringing joy into her life! Ms. Smith graduated with her Bachelor's and Master's degree in Nursing at Nebraska Methodist College, where she is currently enrolled pursuing her DNP-FNP to expand her knowledge and skills in clinical practice. Her goal is to work with the underprivileged or underrepresented as a future nurse practitioner. Population Health is her passion and she hopes to make an impact in communities with the greatest health needs. This passion fuels her in guiding nursing students to have an impact in the community they serve!
