Biography


Dr. Aguirre is an Associate Professor/Nurse Researcher with the UNMC College of Nursing. She received her bachelor of science in nursing degree from the UNMC College of Nursing and her PhD in nursing degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.



Research


Research Interests

  • Obesity in rural Hispanic and Native American populations
  • Bio-impediance analysis for measuring body composition
  • Overweight individuals (food addicted and non-food addicted) to determine best treatments for each group
