Residency Program Curriculum
The curriculum consists of rotations, with each year building upon the previous, with more advanced responsibilities each year. Below is an example of the different rotations that each resident will complete during the four-year residency program. Residents work at the Continuity Clinic all four years and some of the specialties span three or four years. Because the residents do work at two different hospital systems, Nebraska Medicine (academic) and Methodist (community), they experience different health care record systems, work with a wide range of health care professionals and are given opportunities to provide health care to a diverse patient population.
The Obstetrics and Gynecology core curriculum is represented in the flower graphic, below. This is modeled after the Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology (CREOG) Educational Objectives flower. Our comprehensive program does include the objectives of the CREOG core, intrinsic and specialties.
