Former UNMC faculty member Jon Vanderhoof, M.D., a graduate of UNMC’s medical college and residency training program, flew his own plane across the state of Nebraska to see pediatric patients in areas that didn’t have a pediatric gastroenterologist.
At least one of his visits to Alliance, nearly 30 years ago, so impressed a young Kylee Stanley, that she became a doctor.
In 2012, Dr. Stanley graduated from UNMC’s medical school, where she also did her residency training. Now, she practices medicine at the Fremont Health Internal Medicine Clinic. Her husband, Brett Van Briggle, M.D., of Gordon, Neb., will graduate from UNMC residency training in July 2019.
