General Information

The ICG+P Conference will be held on October 13-16, 2024.

On October 13-16, 2024, we will hold our eighth International Conference on Gram-Positive Pathogens meeting in Omaha, NE. This international conference emerged from a wonderful collaboration that has developed between several investigators in America's midwest who study various Gram-positive pathogens. What we have found through our interactions is that there is an incredible amount to be learned from each other. The considerable overlap of systems within these different Gram-positive pathogens is such that the study of one organism provides a new and insightful perspective into several others. Thus, the result of these interactions has been the generation of new research ideas and the development of several new collaborative projects.

This conference is an attempt to extend this concept to the rest of the Gram-positive community, providing a unique meeting entirely devoted to Gram-positive pathogens. It will focus on all aspects of Gram-positive pathogens, from physiology to pathogenesis. However, this will be a different kind of meeting aimed at maximizing learning potential and the exchange of ideas. Special emphasis will be placed on providing a venue that allows students and post-doctoral scientists to present data and interact with internationally recognized leaders of the Gram-positive research field. Each iteration of the conference is designed to highlight different themes or concepts.

In addition to presentations by established investigators, the conference organizers are strongly encouraging the participation of graduate students and post-docs. Both poster and oral presentations are welcome and those junior investigators who present are eligible for travels grants.

We will continue to provide updated information on this website. Please help us continue to make this meeting an important forum for researchers on Gram-positive pathogens.
