As part of the residency program, house officers will actively participate in conferences within the program and the department, as well as throughout the UNMC campus.
Didactic Departmental Conferences
The Didactic Conferences are a venue for stimulating learning and discussion, providing our residents with a comprehensive yet practical review of AP/CP subject matter. We invite our nationally recognized faculty within our department and across campus, as well as guest speakers in pathology to share their knowledge and interact with our house officers. The didactic and case unknowns curriculum is a rotating two year daily curriculum in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. The most interesting and unusual cases in Clinical Pathology are discussed in the practical case-based bi-weekly Laboratory Medicine conference. In addition, residents participate in interdisciplinary conferences such as tumor boards.
There are other interdisciplinary conferences that residents can participate in.
