Dr. Aldrich is a fellow in University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program. She is originally from North Dakota and received a BA in Biology and Chemistry from Minot State University in Minot, ND in 2009. She received her medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences in 2013. She then completed her residency in Pediatrics at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She came to Omaha in 2016 to continue her training with the UNMC Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship.
Dr. Aldrich’s professional interests include inpatient ID management, Global Health, and HIV Care. She also enjoys teaching and mentoring medical students and residents and has received the 2018 UNMC Department of Pediatrics Outstanding Fellowship Teaching Award. Her fellowship research projects supervised by Dr. Shirley Delair involve evaluation of pediatric HIV care in Haiti.
