Children's Hospital & Medical Center, Omaha, NE

Approximately 90% of the clinical training takes place at Children’s Hospital and Medical Center of Omaha, with the remainder at the University of Nebraska Medical Center campus. Nearly all attending physicians at Children’s Hospital and Medical Center of Omaha are faculty at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Children’s Hospital and Medical Center of Omaha is a free-standing regional children’s hospital. The current hospital structure was built in 2000. The hospital has 126 med/surg beds, 19 PICU beds, and 40 NICU beds. The specialty pediatric clinics are directly attached to the hospital. The Specialty Pediatrics Clinic structure was built in 2010. Children’s Hospital and Medical Center of Omaha also features a four bed pediatric sleep lab, a cardiopulmonary stress lab, and three endoscopy procedure suites. The new Hubbard Center for Children will double the square footage of the hospital. The new space will expand the number of inpatient beds, PICU beds, surgical suites, observation units and relocate the NICU.
