Research Activities/Interests:
The research activity of Dr. Kador's laboratory is focused on the design and synthesis of multifunctional antioxidants and enzyme inhibitors, the mechanism of action of drugs and the development of agents as they relate to the inhibition of diabetic complications, and age related macular degeneration, cataract development and neurodegeneration including Alzheimer's disease.  He is also investigating basic cellular mechanisms that lead to the initiation of diabetic complications and the development of disease-associated animal models.
