Convocation and Commencement

Convocation

The Convocation ceremony, also referred to as hooding ceremony, is a special recognition ceremony where students receive their doctoral hood to be worn at commencement. The hood signifies their success in completing the PharmD program. This ceremony is small and only for students graduating from the College of Pharmacy program.

The College of Pharmacy convocation will be held Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 10am at the Holland Performing Arts Center . Guests may arrive at 9am and doors open to the theater at 9:30am. The event will also be streamed on YouTube.

Commencement

The Commencement ceremony is the UNMC graduation. Students from all colleges on the Omaha campus (Pharmacy, Medicine, Nursing, Allied Health, Public Health, and Graduate Studies) will walk the stage and receive their diplomas at this event.

The May 2023 UNMC Commencement ceremony will be held Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 9 am at the Baxter Arena. More information on UNMC's Commencement ceremony.
