In 1972, the A. Ross McIntyre Award was established by the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in honor of Professor A. Ross McIntyre, the Chairman of the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology (1935-1967). This award is to be given to an individual for “an original and innovative contribution in a scientific field related to medicine or medical education.”
In 2014, the A. Ross McIntyre Award was converted into the A. Ross McIntyre Cardio-Renal Seminar Series. Nominations are solicited from faculty members. Three speakers/year will be selected by an interdepartmental committee. Contact Erika Boesen, PhD. for more information.
