Back-O-the Napkin Contest by UNeMed

unemed-logoAll members of the UNMC community with an idea for a medical device can submit a simple application and three finalists and three finalists will have their idea professionally 3D modeled and a prototype built. Applications will be accepted until the end of 2021.

 

Teaching Online: Course Design, Delivery, and Teaching Presence

Teaching Online: Course Design, Delivery, and Teaching Presence is a 4-week fully asynchronous professional development course. 
  The Teaching Online course is designed to help you develop the knowledge and skills in course design and teaching that is necessary to teach in the online (and traditional) environment effectively. Major topics covered are course design, teaching to online and adult learners, creating appropriate learning content and assessments, utilizing student and course feedback, syllabus design, creating instructor presence for a successful online course, and more. 
The 4-week course is designed as an online course, allowing you to participate as a student while learning about teaching online. After completing all four weeks of content and learning assessments (assignments, short quizzes, and discussion boards), you will receive a certificate of completion. 

This course is being made available to postdocs for the first time. Registration opens in September, the class will be held in October.
