Biographical Sketch:
Maria E. McGee, MD, MS, MPH is the Chief of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Associate Training Director for the Creighton-Nebraska Psychiatry Residency training program and President of the Interdisciplinary Association of Minority Healthcare professionals of the Omaha MEtropolitan Area (I-AM-HOME). She graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, NE with a BS in Chemistry, The George Washington University in Washington, DC with a MPH in Biostatistics and MS in Epidemiology, and University of Nebraska College of Medicine in Omaha, NE with a MD. She completed her Psychiatry Residency and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship training at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. She is Board Certified in Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She has special clinical interests in pediatric psychosomatic medicine, attachment issues, developmental disabilities, ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, tic disorders and psychosis.
