Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Meyer Karre is a board-certified general adult psychiatrist and is fellowship-trained in the area of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. She received her medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center before completing a residency in Adult Psychiatry and fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Dr. Meyer Karre specializes in the treatment of psychiatric disorders in the medically ill. She is currently expanding her treatment focus to include treatment of substance use disorders, also in the medically ill patient population. Dr. Meyer Karre currently works as an inpatient consultation-liaison psychiatrist to Nebraska Medicine, including their Emergency Department. She has particular interests in Transplant Psychiatry, Psycho-oncology, and Addiction Psychiatry. She also has a strong interest in the training of residents and fellows. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Academy of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry.
