Biographical Sketch:
Meagan started her career in social work in 2011 working with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD). She started in the community as an Extended Family Home specialist working to maintain persons with I/DD and mental health needs in the community through behavior programming and safety planning. She later supervised an Extended Family Home department for many years and also has experience as a Director of Training and Home Based Therapist. Meagan came to Nebraska Medicine in July 2017 and worked as an inpatient social worker in the Buffett Cancer Center for two years before transitioning to the Psychiatry department in June 2019. Meagan now provides individual psychotherapy and has a special interest in working with persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and Oncology, Psychosis, and Anxiety Disorders. She is proficient in multiple treatment modalities, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
