[AUDIO LOGO] ALI KHAN: Public health is about building healthy, safe communities. And at the end of the day, it's about where you live, where you work, where you play, where you study. How do we make sure in all of those settings public health is in play? KATHERINE KOTAS: To me, public health is in everything. You can see it walking down the street from why we put our seatbelts on when we get in the car to what foods people are picking out at the grocery stores and helping to make sure people get their flu vaccinations. Public health is everywhere and in everything. And so anything you could see yourself wanting to do, you can do in public health. SHELBY WATSON: In one sentence, public health is prevention. MELISSA LEON: Public health, to me, is promoting and providing healthcare for people and their communities BRANDON GRIMM: Assuring the conditions so that all people can be healthy. LAURA VINSON: Public health is everything.
