Nate A. Bickford, PhD

Nate Bickford, PhD is an Associate Professor at University of Nebraska Kearney. His doctorate in Environmental Science is from Arkansas State University with work centering on hydrology and fish habitat. His postdoctoral work at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks involved Movement patterns of fish in the Bering Sea and Gulf of Alaska. He is adept at STEM community-based ecology and aquaculture education with experience in the Artic, Caribbean, Central and South America and Europe. His focus areas of interest are agricultural and landscape conservation, aquatic ecology, raptor research and global environmental health advocacy. His most recent work is published in the International Journal of Kinesiology in Higher Education and the Journal of EU Research and Business. He is partnering across disciplines to bring environmental and STEM issues into grassroots sustainable models that promote and support income-generation and health, while preserving landscape and habitat around the globe.
