The Center for Global Health and Development (CGHAD) is committed to making a significant contribution in areas of both global and local concern and to accomplish that through the implementation of a diverse set of academic and non-academic initiatives that raise awareness of global health issues, facilitate collaborations, and enhance both human and institutional capacity to improve public health outcomes. CGHAD accomplishes its mission in the related areas of education, research and outreach through (1) the development of strategic partnerships with academic and research institutions, international NGOs and private sector entities; (2) the facilitation of faculty-faculty collaborative research projects which include both student and faculty exchanges; and (3) engagement with various local and international stakeholders in public health through innovative programs that inform, educate, and involve local communities, civic leaders, students and health service delivery workers.
