Soumitra Bhuyan, PhD, MPH is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Health Systems Management and Policy and a Research Fellow at the Methodist LeBonheur Center for Healthcare Economics at the University of Memphis. Dr. Bhuyan was the recipient of the "Rising Star" award from the APHA Health Administration Section in 2013. The award recognizes outstanding potential in the field of health administration and public health practice. Dr. Bhuyan is currently serving as an Associate Editor of the British Medical Journal Global Health.
