Magnetic Resonance Imaging Fellowship

Director: Matthew White, MD

The Fellowship consists of four week rotations, six of which would be in neuroradiology, four in musculoskeletal radiology, and three divided between Body MR, Cardiovascular Imaging, and MR Physics. Details regarding the last block of rotations have yet to be settled upon. Although this is an MR Fellowship, when on neuroradiology and musculoskeletal radiology, you would be expected to read other cross-sectional imaging modalities, specifically CT examinations and CT angiograms. Fellows in non-accredited programs are expected to spend approximately 80% of their time in the capacity as a fellow and 20% of their time functioning as a staff radiologist. In your capacity as a staff radiologist you would be expected to function in any number of areas including but not limited to general radiology, mammography, and covering different locations including Clarkson West. Also, you would be expected to undertake call responsibilities. This would consist of neuroradiology call with the frequency of approximately one in four averaged over the twelve months. You will accrue vacation in a similar manner as a staff physician. Fellows in non-accredited fellowships receive ten days of educational leave. There is also a $3000 educational allowance.
