Radiology research activities include both clinical research activities and preclinical imaging within the Bioimaging Core facility. Clinical research focuses on high field (3 Tesla) body MRI and neuroradiology projects. The Bioimaging Core facility includes ultrahigh field (7 Tesla) MRI, SPECT, and CT imaging of rodent models. Projects include quantitative neuroimaging biomarker development, evaluation of biodistribution and efficacy of nanomedications, and cardiovascular studies. These combined capabilities provide the ability to translate basic science developments to human trials.
