Why did you choose to come to UNMC?
I wanted to come to a program that prioritized resident education. UNMC offers a great balance of structured and self-determined resident education. I was granted the opportunity to pursue an MBA through the University of Nebraska, Lincoln campus concurrent with my resident education.

Favorite part of residency, favorite rotation, or favorite thing about UNMC?
I enjoy the positive and uplifting atmosphere upheld among the faculty and residents even when work is busy and patient outcomes are less than ideal. This is a group of individuals who love what they do. Each
faculty truly cares not only about the individual residents but their families as well.

Favorite thing to do in Omaha?
Taking our children to the Henry Doorly Zoo.

Fun fact about yourself or things you like to do for fun?
-My wife and I have 4 children. We spend a lot of time at playgrounds, splash pads, the zoo, and Costco.
-We bought a house in Omaha on which I have learned to lay carpet, remodel bathrooms, refinish floors, build a deck. A lot of Youtube was involved. I learned that skills acquired as a physician don't always translate into construction.
-I am an avid board gamer. When time allows, I like to have friends over to play one of the hundreds of strategy board games in my collection. My favorite game is Terraforming Mars.
