The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center has had a relationship with Nebraska Medicine - Nebraska Medical Center since 1998. The department is active in both the academic/research and clinical missions of the campus and medical center, allowing healthcare professionals and students the environment to provide high-quality patient care.
The clinical department provides radiation therapy services at three locations. Two locations in Omaha (maps & directions) and one location in Shenandoah, Iowa. The facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art therapy equipment and deliver treatments that are specifically designed to meet the needs of the clinical situation. We have seven board certified radiation oncologists, eight medical physicists, and five medical dosimetrists. The department also participates in clinical trials, investigative trials and new methods to enhance the treatment capabilities.
