Billing FAQs

Q. How will I know when my bill is available?

You will receive an email notification ten days after the start of class.  However, your student account is available to you two weeks prior to the start of class.  This is done to provide adequate information for you and the financial aid office.  It is always a good thing to review your bill for accuracy.

Q. Where can I see my bill?

Log in to My Records, click on Self Service, Student Center.  You will see three blue title bars on this page.  Look for the one that says Finances.  Under there you will see “Account Inquiry” “My Bills” and “My Bank Info”.  Click on “My Bills” and scroll down to the bottom of the page.  Here you will see Invoices Due.  These are .pdf files and when opened this is your bill.  You can tell by the date what semester or term it is for.

Q. I want to pay with a credit card, do you charge fees to do that?

The University does charge a 2.75% service fee for using a credit card.

Q. I can’t pay my tuition by the due date, can you help me?

Please email Student Accounts prior to the due date to discuss your options. UNMC does offer a payment plan up to three months.

Q. My department is supposed to pay, why do I have a balance?

Your department has not notified student accounts of this benefit.  Please take a copy of your billing statement to your department.  They will need to contact Sara Jones with authorization to credit your account. (Email Student Accounts)
