Drug Screening
The UNMC Student Health Clinic offers 10-panel urine drug screenings.
Patients must select one of the following payment methods when checking in for their drug screening appointment.
- Pay the discounted, package price of $75. To get this discounted rate, we will not submit the charge to insurance, the patient will be billed the cost out-of-pocket, and the patient will need to pay with a credit card at the time of service.
- Bill the full cost to insurance. By declining the package price, the UNMC Student Health Clinic will bill the full cost of a 10-panel urine drug screening to the patient’s insurance. The patient will be responsible for any remaining balance after insurance processes the claim. It is highly recommended that patients check with their insurance company on coverage, as some policies only cover a portion of the cost. When speaking with the insurance company, ask if Nebraska Medicine is in-network.
- Department reimbursement. If the patient’s department is covering the cost, the patient will be billed the full cost of a 10-panel urine drug screening. The itemized bill will be populated in the patient’s OneChart | Patient portal after processing. The patient will retrieve the bill from their OneChart account and turn it in to their department for reimbursement. Please check with your department if payment arrangements have been made before your scheduled appointment.
- Bill to department. If the patient’s department has agreed to pay the cost through prior arrangements with Nebraska Medicine (e.g., UNMC College of Medicine) please provide the department’s name when you check in. The medical receptionist will confirm at check-in if the department’s name is on the pre-approved list. If it is not, the patient will need to select one of the other payment options. Please check with your department if payment arrangements have been made before your scheduled appointment.
