Counseling Services
Comprehensive, confidential counseling services (academic, career, interpersonal, couples, and psychological) are provided free of charge through Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS).
With a required referral from CAPS staff, students who have paid the Fund B student health fee may also see our designated consulting psychiatrist in the UNMC Department of Psychiatry for up eight visits per year with a $20 copay per visit.
Students who have not paid the Fund B fee or who choose to seek psychiatric services outside of our UNMC Student Health program may use their major medical insurance coverage, but additional deductibles and copays may apply.
