Patient Care

Vascular surgery is the clinical and scientific discipline concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases affecting arteries, veins and lymphatics. A large proportion of vascular surgery is concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of degenerative arterial diseases. Our department has five board certified vascular surgeons, two nurse practitioners, and one certified physician's assistant on staff and their expertise spans the full spectrum of vascular surgery including (but not exclusive of):

Diseases of the Arterial System:

Other Vascular Treatments:

The team also offers a wide variety of surgical and endovascular treatment options using cutting-edge research and technology.

The surgeons and nurse practitioner see potential patients for evaluations and follow-up in the UNMC Physician's Heart Center located on the 2nd floor of the Durham Outpatient Care Center in the Atrium.
