Seven (7) days before your procedure:
Discontinue the use of Aspirin, Advil, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Aleve, and Nuprin. Also discontinue the use of Pletal, Plavix, or Aggrenox after checking with the prescribing physician.
Five (5) days before your procedure:
Discontinue the use of Coumadin, after checking with the prescribing physician.

POST-PROSTATE BIOPSY INSTRUCTIONS
Concerns that are normal following prostate biopsy:
- A small amount of blood in the urine for up to two weeks
- A small amount of blood in stools for up to two weeks
- A small amount of blood in semen for up to three months
Concerns that should be addressed at once:
- Temperature greater than 101 degrees
