Residents
At UNMC, our residents are provided animate and inanimate training for minimally invasive surgery (MIS) procedures. Residents are also rotated through on the GI/MIS Service.
Fellowship
UNMC is a member of the Fellowship Council, through which we participate in their match program to fill two Clinical Fellow positions yearly.
Community Surgeon Courses
Community Surgeons are also trained at UNMC. Our MIS Center offers courses for surgeons who are looking to improve upon their laparoscopic technique.
Simulation
The Dr. Edwin G & Dorothy Balbach Davis Global Center is UNMC's newest, most advanced clinical simulation center. This facility, the only of its kind in the world, is dedicated to revolutionizing healthcare education, improving surgical experience, and promoting medical research.

UNMC is also a recognized Fundamentals of Endoscopic Surgery (FES) Testing Center, Fundamental Use of Surgical Energy (FUSE) Testing Center, and Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery (FLS) Testing Center.
