As the largest medical center in Nebraska and the region, the Nebraska Medicine/UNMC Affiliated Hospitals offers the only nationally certified Level 1 Adult and Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Centers in the region with over 90,000 emergency room and trauma visits annually. The Medical Center regularly receives patients from the states of Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, and more.
Additionally, the UNMC OMFS program is affiliated with the Veteran's Administration Hospital, a regional referral center, and the Creighton University School of Dentistry.
The UNMC OMFS residency program has a long-standing reputation for providing patient care and management of disease and receives referrals from medical centers, hospitals, and clinics within the region.
