Dr. Adrian Koesters, editorial grants specialist in the Research Editorial Office, holds an MFA from Pacific Lutheran University and a Ph.D. in English from UNL. She has many years of experience in academic and literary editing and an extensive background in training as a classroom teacher, workshop leader, and writing mentor.
She taught writing at UNL for six years, including a practicum course in the humanities and medicine, and was an assistant editor for Prairie Schooner magazine and Ted Kooser’s syndicated newspaper column, “American Life in Poetry.” Most recently, she taught in the Creighton University MFA program and worked as a freelance editor.
Dr. Koesters is experienced in collaborating with writers of all skill levels. She has facilitated projects for writers from a wide variety of backgrounds, and is especially helpful in working with specialists to create clear, effective, and compelling grant narratives and research plans.
