Dear MSPCF users,
In accordance with the University’s guidelines to slow down the spread of SARS-CoV-2, the Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics Core Facility will remain fully operational remotely for all consultations and data analysis. We will be taking new samples by appointment only. If you’d like to drop off your samples or schedule a meeting, email your inquiries to mspcf@unmc.edu.
Best regards,
MSPCF Team
Welcome to the Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics Core Facility (MSPCF) at UNMC
Established in 2007 with a strong support from the Vice Chancellor for Research, NRI and INBRE programs, the core offers investigators a broad range of proteomics solutions. MSPCF is equipped with a state-of-the-art sensitive, high resolution mass spectrometers, which allow us to detect quantify, and obtain structural information on extremely small amounts of biological molecules, even in highly complex samples.
Mission
The mission of the MSPCF at the University of Nebraska Medical Center is to support scientists with state-of-the-art technology platforms and methodology to carry out experiments in timely and efficient way.
Our main goals are:
- to establish an integrated proteomics program to support researchers at the UNMC in their efforts to seek extramural funding,
- to facilitate collaborative scientific effort with other institutions of higher education within the state of Nebraska, and
- to provide a state-of-the-art high-performance mass spectrometry services, including all aspects of protein characterization and qualitative and quantitative proteomics.
Our website intends to give guidelines for sample submission to the MSPCF, and to provide practical information on sample preparation. Should this not give you the information you are looking for, staff in our core are always available to answer your questions and advise on sample preparation.
Thank you for your interest in the MSPCF. We appreciate any comments, questions or suggestions.
