A variety of issues face an author as they enter into the process of publishing and the tracking of its impact. Where do I publish? How do I retain rights to my work? What about the h-index? What other metrics are available? What are my choices for managing my online presence? In this session, these issues and more will be discussed and additional resources will be provided.

An Overview of the IRB Electronic Submission System:Tips and Tricks to Navigating the System - Sue Logsdon, MS, CIP, IRB/IBX/ESCRO Administrator, Office of Regulatory Affairs will walk participants through the electronic submission system for IRB applications. Tricks to uploading supporting documentation and tips for finding, completing, and formatting required information will be covered.

MyNCBI: NIH Grants' Annual Progress Reports: Meeting Publication Compliance – Robin Taylor, Project Coordinator, Department of Pharmacology and Experimental Neuroscience will demonstrate how to use My NCBI (National Center for Biotechnology Information when reporting publications in NIH grants' annual progress reports. She will demonstrate accessing the My NCBI system, pulling publications from PubMed, adding awards, delegating support staff to manage accounts, and formatting a PDF file to comply with the NIH mandate on using My NCBI for progress reports.
