System Science

University of Nebraska President Hank Bounds, PhD has announced the second of two university-wide Collaboration Initiatives.  The new System Science program is intended to facilitate and strengthen research collaborations between faculty in the broadly defined engineering and/or quantitative/data-science fields with any other discipline.

A System Sciences retreat is scheduled for November 9th, 2018 on the Innovation Campus Conference Center Auditorium in Lincoln.  Retreat registration is required, details and the deadline will be announced soon.

Attendance at the retreat and declaration of intent are required to become funding eligible.  Can't make the retreat?  Contact Paula Turpen, PhD for instructions.  Need help locating a suitable collaborator? Contact Paula Turpen, PhD for assistance.

Funding Opportunities

There have been three funding mechanisms associated with the Systems Sciences Initiative in previous years.  The official call has not yet been announced for 2018/19 but a similar offering is anticipated.
