- Wellness Day for Residents
The first annual EM resident lecture Wellness Day was held in October 2015. Lectures included speakers such as Susan Smith, RN from Employee Assistance and Dr. Steven Wengel, MD, Chair of Psychiatry. The objectives were to introduce students to the concepts and definitions of burnout, and its subsequent consequences such as mental illness and substance abuse. Residents and faculty were also given suggestions for treatment and prevention, including mindfulness exercises.

- Orientations, Talks, Grand Rounds
Dr. Sikorski provides talks on student and provider burnout, resiliency, and wellbeing. His lectures provide brief overviews of mindfulness based stress reduction techniques that can easily be implemented in the workplace and classroom.
- Clerkship Lecture on Behavioral Health Wellness
A course that reviews signs and symptoms of depression, burnout and anxiety. This course also addresses coping skills such as tools utilized in cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness and meditation.
