Financial Aid

Financing your health profession education may be one of your top concerns. Whether you are an undergraduate or graduate student, you may have many options: scholarships, grants, work-study and loans.  Our goal? Helping students and their families find the best way to finance a UNMC education. In fact, about 90 percent of our students receive some type of financial aid.

UNMC does not participate in the option of providing guest access to PeopleSoft or other UNMC student information systems. We will gladly discuss your financial aid with your FERPA designated representative. However, guests will not be permitted access to PeopleSoft to complete tasks on your behalf.

April 1st - FAFSA deadline for priority aid consideration - applies only to undergraduate students. Graduate/Professional students are encouraged to complete their FAFSA prior to April 1st.
April 1st - Award Reinstatement of Declined Aid
April 1st thru June 1st - Request for Summer Aid - Once registered for Summer, contact the Office of Financial Aid.
Federal Verification Documents (IRS Tax Transcripts, your To Do List) - within 60 days of the initial request.
Award Acceptance - 10 days after initial award notification

If you have questions regarding the Financial Aid process, please refer to the UNMC Financial Aid Contact List.

UNMC is required, by federal regulation, to publish the Code of Conduct for UNMC Financial Aid Staff.
