The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Program is part of the Department of Medical Imaging and Therapeutic Sciences in the College of Allied Health Professions. The 9-month program is offered to anyone who is certified in radiography and registered as a radiologic technologist (RT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and has completed the 32 hours of specified college prerequisites.
The curriculum consists of lectures, demonstrations, and supervised clinical instruction. A comprehensive knowledge base and clinical competency is achieved through a plan of study that focuses on increasing proficiency under the guidance of qualified faculty and staff.
A Bachelor Degree in Medical Imaging & Therapeutic Sciences or a Post-Baccalaureate Professional Certificate in Magnetic Resonance Imaging is awarded upon completion of the program and graduates are eligible to apply for the MRI Certification Examination offered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
