Summer Physical Therapy Program

2022 GHOP SEED in Physical Therapy program - goes virtual July 11-29 (applications closed)

With the current pandemics, we are bringing our summer program virtually in Summer 2022.

The UNMC Global Health Opportunity Program (GHOP) for Summer Experiential Education (SEED) in Physical Therapy is a three-week online summer program. It is designed for international physical therapy and rehabilitation students who are interested in developing a global perspective on rehabilitation, to learn physical therapy education, research, and practice in the United States.

Virtual Program

The SEED virtual program will take place July 11-29, 2022, and will include self-study sessions, online lectures, live discussions, virtual student roundtables, and campus and program presentations.

2022 Program

Lectures

Faculty from the UNMC physical therapy education program will lead 1-2 hours of online lectures and discussions, or will provide recorded lectures for you to do self-study before 30-40 minutes of live discussions that include, but not limited to the following topics:

Student Roundtables

DPT students in the UNMC physical therapy education program will virtually meet with you and share their learning experiences and fun facts about UNMC. You will have the unique opportunity to ask questions about the program and how to apply for our DPT program from the students’ perspective.

Campus Presentation

The SEED program will arrange several campus/program presentations for you to have a better understanding of the UNMC campus, facilities and resources.
