  For thirteen consecutive years Nebraska Medicine has been named the National Consumer Choice Award winner as a result of a large consumer study conducted by The National Research Corporation (NRC). The goal of the survey is to determine the best quality health care service in the region.

Magnet designation is given to organizations that demonstrate successful nursing practices and strategies. In order to meet Magnet criteria, Nebraska Medicine had to demonstrate quality patient care, nursing excellence and the implementation of best practices.
    We are on the “100 great hospitals in America | 2017” by Becker’s Hospital review in Women’s health programs, and heart programs. Nebraska Medicine is honored to be named to the 2017 edition of “100 hospitals and health systems with great women’s health programs” by Becker’s Hospital Review. Becker’s Hospital Review also named Nebraska Medicine to its “100 hospitals with great heart programs” list for 2017.
  Nebraska Medicine is accredited by the American College of Surgeons for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and accredited by the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program.
  Nebraska Medicine was nationally recognized as a National Pancreas Foundation Center (NPF) by the National Pancreas Foundation – one of only 30 hospitals in the nation, and the only hospital in Nebraska to receive this prominent designation.
Nebraska Medicine is recognized as one of the most prominent transplant centers in the United States. We just celebrated our 45th Anniversary of our Multi-Organ Transplant Program. Over 8,160 organs have been transplanted at our center. Transplants include Liver, Small Bowel, Kidney, Pancreas, Intestines, Heart and Lung.  We are only one of the four US institutions recognized by the US Department of Health and Human Services for pediatric and adult Intestinal and Small Bowel Transplants. We are also a leader in Bone Marrow and Stem Cell transplantation. We are one of the first centers and pioneers for Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Transplants. The ground breaking procedures that our researchers developed more than 30 years ago have become standard protocols all over the world.  Our hematology programs for Hodgkin’s, Non-Hodgkin’s and Leukemia are recognized as one of the best in the US and internationally.
