Annual IRB Conference

The 2022 UNMC Protection of Human Subjects Conference

Thanks for joining us for the 2022 conference! We hope to see you next year.

The 2022 conference was expanded to become a two day event separated into three separate sessions in order to provide more content for a wider range of professionals in the research field. The event was held on Thursday October 27th and Friday October 28th at the Michael F Sorrell Center for Health Science Education - 42nd and Emile St Omaha, NE 68198. The two day event included:

The Informed Consent and Teach-Back Workshop on Thursday, October 27th, 2022 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM CST.

The PRIMR Introduction to the IRB on Thursday, October 27th, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM CST.

The Hot Topics in the Protection of Human Subjects Conference on Friday, October 28th, 2022 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM CST.

Parking for all attendees arriving from off-campus was in UNMC Lot 63. Lot 63 can be located at the southeast corner of 40th & Marcy street and provides a covered shuttle canopy in the event of poor weather conditions (GPS coordinates: 41.250892, -95.973275). A shuttle began making rounds from the canopy to the Sorrell center 45 minutes in advance of a session's start time, and ending 15 minutes after the close of a session. The pick-up/drop-off cycle should take an estimated 10-12 minutes. Please refer to the image below for an overhead view of the parking area:
