"On a nice
summer day I was walking in a crowded downtown area of a middle-European
capitol when I saw this homeless person sleeping peacefully on a bench.
Perhaps he was dreaming about his own home, family, a warm dinner, or
perhaps about meeting other nice homeless people from other countries
anywhere on this planet, even in Omaha." |

"This
photo was taken first thing in the early morning from my tent, where we were
camping in Wadi Rum. The red sandstone hills were striking in the morning
light and Bedouin kids riding by made the image beautifully picturesque."

"During my
trip to Uganda, I was overwhelmed by the beauty of the children. I saw
this baby being carried on the back of his only slightly older sister on
their daily trip to the water source. They stopped in front of me
momentarily to get a look at the mzungus (foreigner or white
person) who so rarely are seen in their village."

the church where we were working. She rarely looked up, rarely smiled, but
