The next Science Café will focus on Monkeypox led by an infectious disease doctor from University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), according to a press release from UNMC.

Science Café is a conversation with an expert on a current science topic. It will begin with a presentation that is followed by a Q&A.

The Monkeypox Science Café will take place on September 1 at 11:00 a.m., and it can be accessed via the Facebook livestream here.

It will be led by Dr. Mark Rupp who is the Medical Director of Nebraska Medical Center Department of Infection Control and Epidemiology.

Dr. Rupp will be discussing the latest information on Monkeypox including the vaccine, antivirals, how to prevent getting it, and prevent spreading it.
