The BSES/MPH dual degree program is a collaboration between UNMC, a recognized leader in health security, implementation science, rural health, and cancer prevention research, and the University of Nebraska Lincoln's highly rated College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.

This collaborative program is designed for dedicated undergraduate students who are motivated and willing to take on the challenges and opportunities related to professional education. The BSES and MPH in environmental and occupational health involve intensive study, a senior thesis, public health practice experience and a capstone experience.

Application/Program Requirements

All applicants must apply and be accepted into each of the two programs. You will be evaluated by each degree program in separate admissions processes. Admission into either program does not guarantee admission into the other program.

  • A minimum of 120 credit hours is required for the BSES degree
  • A minimum of 42 graduate credit hours is required for the MPH degree (A maximum of 18 graduate credit hours from the MPH degree program will be applied toward the BSES degree)
