Anna Hansen is the Operations and Events Coordinator for the Center for Preparedness & Emergency Response Solutions. She is also the Program Coordinator for the Association of Healthcare Emergency Preparedness Professionals. In each role, she works with healthcare and public health preparedness professionals at the local, state, and national levels. At AHEPP, Ms. Hansen also works with healthcare emergency preparedness professionals internationally.

Since Ms. Hansen joined CPERS in 2023, she has conducted numerous discussion-based and operations-based exercises, facilitated after-action conferences, and conducted scenario based planning. Each year, she works with leadership from the six Nebraska Healthcare Coalitions to plan and facilitate their yearly Medical Response and Surge Exercises as required by the Administration for Strategic Preparedness & Response and assists in the planning of CPERS’s Annual Preparedness Symposium.

Since 2017, Ms. Hansen has worked alongside AHEPP staff and volunteers to provide educational opportunities to Healthcare Emergency Managers. She serves as the lead planner for the AHEPP Annual Conference and manages several of the organization’s committees. Ms. Hansen co-authored the AHEPP Professional Standards for healthcare emergency management and helped create the new Healthcare Emergency Manager Certification. She led the effort to build the HcEM Certification Exam and currently oversees the HcEM Certification Application Review Committee.
