Jerrod Anzalone, PhD, is an assistant professor in the UNMC College of Public Health Department of Biostatistics. He also serves as co-director of the Biomedical Informatics & Cyberinfrastructure Core of the Great Plains IDeA-CTR, as well as deputy director of the Research, Education, Administration and Development of Biomedical Informatics Core
His research uses electronic health record data and other real-world data sources to improve health care quality and outcomes, particularly addressing differences in rural and remote communities. His overarching goal is to enhance the secondary use of health data by expanding secure data sharing, developing interoperable data standards, and implementing advanced analytical tools to support clinical and translational research.
